A message from Catherine Jackson

Director of Women's Ministry

Welcome to Redeemer Women! We are thrilled that you have popped by to visit with us.  Thirty-one years ago, I moved from the UK to the USA to marry my wonderful husband, Jeff.  We have two children who are married to two amazing bonus children, which makes us official empty nesters.  I’m Welsh so I have a little bit of an accent.  This proves a bit challenging especially in drive-thru’s when ordering water!

God has never let me forget moving here from another country.  I totally understand what it is like for new ladies to come to a new church.  I left everything that was familiar to move to all that was unfamiliar.  After the birth of our little girl (who is now 28!), I was longing for community with other Christian ladies with whom I could learn and grow. I came to First Redeemer and fell in love with the ladies in my Bible study group.  We did life together, our children grew up together, and we grew closer to God as we studied his Word together.  This season made a huge impact in my life.
I have had the joy of leading Redeemer Women for the last 10 years and have not forgotten the love that was extended to me when I was “new.”  This is why I love Women’s Ministry and why I am excited to see how God brings women together to study the Bible and to do great things for His glory.  Here’s what I know: you may come to Redeemer Women as someone new, but you will leave as a part of our family.  I’m looking forward to meeting you soon!

In Christ,
Catherine

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise. -Isaiah 43:19-21

WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY

Women's Bible Study meets on Thursdays at 9:30AM in the Banquet Hall. You’re invited to join us in a warm and welcoming environment where you will enjoy a time of worship, a video-based Bible study (with a workbook), small group discussion, and prayer. Maymester & Summer sessions feature a live speaker.  If you are interested in a home groups that meet throughout the week, contact [email protected].
Ladies, have you ever wondered what we can learn from the incredible women in the Bible? These women weren't perfect, but their lives were filled with courage, wisdom, and powerful moments of faith. Together, we’ll dive into the stories of Sarah, Miriam, Abigail, Anna, and the Samaritan Woman—and discover how their choices, triumphs, and walks with the Lord can inspire and guide us today.
✨ What You’ll Gain from This Study:
  • Sarah’s Faith in God’s Timing: Learn from Sarah’s trust in God, even when His promises seemed impossible. Discover the beauty of waiting on God's timing and embracing His plan for your life.
  • Miriam’s Humility & God's Mercy:  Miriam's story teaches us a powerful lesson about the importance of humility, the danger of judgment, and the abundant mercy of God. Even when we falter or speak out of turn, God’s grace is ready to restore and heal, offering us a chance to repent and grow in our understanding of His love and mercy.
  • Abigail’s Wisdom & Peacemaking: Abigail’s quick thinking and humility in the face of adversity remind us of the power of wisdom and grace in our relationships. Learn how to navigate difficult situations with godly discernment.
  • Anna’s Devotion & Hope: Anna's unshakeable faith in the Lord and her dedication to prayer offer us a beautiful example of how to walk closely with God throughout life. Let her perseverance in waiting for the Messiah deepen your own hope and trust.
  • The Samaritan Woman’s Transformation: The Samaritan Woman's encounter with Jesus at the well shows us that no matter our past, Jesus offers redemption and living water. Her story challenges us to embrace new beginnings and share the love of Christ with others.
